The Buxton Wellness App

The short version

We collect the information we need to book your Wellness Room session and nothing more. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. If you want to see what we have or have it deleted, email us and we'll take care of it.

Who we are

The Buxton Wellness app is operated by BuxtonHotel LLC ("The Buxton," "we," "us"), a hotel located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Buxton Wellness app, which you use to reserve and pay for sessions in our Wellness Room. The app is built and hosted on the Wix platform. If you use our website or stay with us as a hotel guest, other policies may also apply.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account and book a session, we collect:

• Your name

• Your email address

• Your phone number

• Your mailing address

• The date, time, and type of service you book

• Payment information, which is processed by Wix (see below)

Information collected automatically. Because the app runs on the Wix platform, Wix may collect standard technical information when you use it — things like device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and basic usage data. Wix processes this to keep the app running, secure, and functional. Wix's own privacy practices are described at https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

Information we don't collect. We want to be clear about two things:

• We don't collect health information through this app. Our health and safety acknowledgment is completed in person at the front desk, on paper. Nothing about your health history, conditions, or medications is entered into or stored in the app.

• We don't store your full payment card number. That is handled entirely by our payment processor.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Reserve, confirm, reschedule, and cancel your sessions

• Process payment for your booking

• Reach you about your reservation — a confirmation, a change, a question, or a problem

• Keep records of bookings and payments for accounting and tax purposes

• Keep the app working and secure

If you've asked to hear from us about news, offers, or events, we'll use your email for that too. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising or marketing by other companies.

We do share it with:

• Wix, which hosts the app and processes bookings and payments on our behalf. Wix acts as our service provider and is permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.

• Our payment processor, for the sole purpose of completing your transaction.

• Anyone we're legally required to share it with — in response to a subpoena, court order, or valid legal request, or where we believe it's necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.

That's the whole list.

Payment

Payments are processed through Wix inside the app. When you enter your card details, they go to the payment processor, not to us. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card — enough to match a payment to a booking and issue a refund if one is owed. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records indefinitely, so we have an accurate history of reservations, payments, and refunds.

If you'd rather we didn't, email frontdesk@thebuxtonhotel.com and ask us to delete your information. We'll delete what we're able to, and we'll tell you plainly if we have to keep something — for example, transaction records we're required to retain for tax or accounting reasons.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• See what we have. We'll send you a copy of the personal information associated with your account.

• Correct it. If something's wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

• Delete it.

• Stop emailing you. Unsubscribe from any message, or just ask.

Email frontdesk@thebuxtonhotel.com with what you need. We'll respond within 45 days, and usually a lot sooner. We won't charge you, and we won't treat you differently for asking.​

Security

We use the security protections provided by the Wix platform, including encryption of information in transit. We limit access to booking information to team members who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfect, and we can't promise that a determined attacker will never succeed — but if we learn that your information has been compromised, we'll tell you.

Children

The Wellness Room is not intended for young children, and this app is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. If the change is significant, we'll do more than that — we'll tell you directly.
